Last week of college

Well this is the last week of college.  I then receive Associates degree in Internet Technology.  Craig is happy that I had finally completed the two years and I could say that I am happy myself.  I am so burnt out from it.  I was going to go for my Bachelor’s Degree but I was discussing with my sister and she had suggested taking time out of school for a while.  So that is what I am going to do.   Actually what I was thinking of doing is to start painting like Bob Ross since I am very good with my hands.  I had also thought about going back to crocheting as well.  I am very good with my hands, and I miss crocheting and sketching out pictures.  I figured that I would try painting because I think I would be good at it.  I used to watch Bob Ross shows all the time back in the 80s.  I also started creating sample websites perhaps I could use those in my next interview or get jobs from people that is interested in me to design their website.  So we’ll see.

Trip to the dentist

Well yesterday, was my turn to go to the dentist.  I know I have to get a lot of work down on my jaw.  I need to get all my jaw teeth out since they are all falling out due to shifting all the time.  So yesterday they took out 3 teeth.  I never had more than 1 tooth out at a time.  The plan is to get dentures.  I’ll be so delighted once I get my dentures because I have been pretty much embarrassed and not able to smile without my mouth looking like a jack-o-lantern.  I’m still in pain and I will not be able to eat or drink anything that is hot the next few days.

Dentist in Boston

Craig has been going back and forth to Boston University Dentistry School, because his insurance covers his teeth down there.  I’m not sure why there is no dentist up here in Maine that covers his insurance, it doesn’t make any sense at all.  Each time he goes down there, I would worry about him wondering if he would be okay down there on his own.  Luckily his trip down there his insurance covers for the traveling expenses to get on the Concord Trailways bus, but he would have to pay for the cab back and forth to the school.

A couple of days ago he had to go back to Boston, I was going to go with him but I was really tired since I didn’t sleep well that night before.  He normally calls me several times to make sure that he is okay.  He knows that I worry about him going down there and I wish he doesn’t have to go down there.

Apparently, according to Craig, that there is going to be a dentist up here in August so that his insurance will be able to cover for it up here so he doesn’t have to always go down to Boston all the time.

Next Friday he will have to go down there once again.  I think I will go with him next Friday since next week is my last week for school and then I would be able to go with him to places without worrying about assignments being due.

Fitness

Craig was telling me that his doctor would like him to start going swimming at the YMCA because he’s pretty stiff in the arms and legs.  I actually don’t think Craig swims, of course, I never seen him swim before but he tells me that he could but only dog paddling.

Craig and I have been discussing about the YMCA where there is a swimming pool and would he go or not.  If he ends up not going, then I would help him out with his upper body workouts.  I know that he has to do some upper body workout so since he hasn’t been going to the YMCA I was becoming his personal trainer taking things easy.  Hopefully these easy workouts and exercises he will be able to loosen up.

Recovering at home

Thinking back all the times Craig has been in hospitals, it is starting to worry me.  But it’s great to see Craig back home from the hospital.  So he’s been in hospital for 10 days and it was due to kidney failure.  His potassium was kind of low so they had to bring that up.  He actually doesn’t eat right, and I don’t know if that was the cause of him going to the hospital or the time he had his colonoscopy done.

When he was released, his body swelled up with water.  I guess it was due to all the IVs they have been giving him.  Because of the swelling, he weighed 205 lbs, and was unable to put on his shoes.  He has nurses coming over to the house and physical therapist every week.

Three weeks passed and the swelling has gone down and he lost 20 lbs of water.  He is now eating breakfasts in the morning, lunches and dinners which is good to see.  He has to eat more on the healthy side now because he is a diabetic.  He should had done it from day one when he found out he was a diabetic.  So I am glad that he is eating more.
